ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A few dozen young adults are a little more ready to start their college career. Nearly 40 students completed Onondaga Community College's Summer Success Academy Thursday.
They have spent the past five weeks living on campus, taking classes and having a full OCC experience. The program is sponsored by the college and Say Yes to Education.
One student says she's improved her study skills and is feeling a lot more confident about starting school this fall.
"I feel like I'm ready. Before I was nervous because I didn't know about the campus, my resources or how to go. But when I joined the summer success program, it clicked," Marissa Williams said.
Fall classes at OCC start August 27th.
