BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A decade long tradition in the town of Binghamton won't happen as scheduled this weekend. The Pierce Creek Civil War Reenactment was suspended earlier this year.

According to the event's Facebook page, "logistical circumstances beyond their control" were to blame for the 10th annual reenactment not taking place. Organizers say there's a chance it could be rescheduled for October, but may not happen until next spring.

The event is known for being the biggest Civil War re-enactment of its kind in the Northeast.
