NATIONWIDE -- One of the healthiest items at some fast food restaurants is being recalled due to possible listeria contamination. Packaged apple slices distributed to McDonalds and Burger King in some states are included in the recall.
Packaged food containing apples distributed to Wegmans are also part of the recall. The recalled Ready Pac products have use-by dates of July 8 through August 20. No illnesses have been reported. Those concerned that they might have the product can call Ready Pac at (800) 800-7822.
