UTICA, N.Y. - JD's Finest may have had two current Syracuse University players but Upstate Swagger overcame Brandon Triche and Dajuan Coleman--as well as an 11-point halftime deficit--to win the King of Kings summer league men's championship 70-67 Sunday at Utica-Notre Dame High School.
Scott Morton, the league's MVP, scored 17 points for Upstate Swagger while Sean Burton added 16. Triche had 13 points and six assists and Coleman racked up 13 points and 19 rebounds.
In the women's championship game, So Appalled blew out Hard2Guard 73-44.
