SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, Penn. -- A Tompkins County man was electrocuted while allegedly trying to steal wires and scrap metal in Northern Pennsylvania.

Police say 29-year-old John Santacroce of Lansing Station was with another person at the Bendix Manufacturing Facility in Bridgewater Township Saturday night when Santacroce came into contact with high voltage lines and was electrocuted.

He was taken to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton in a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
