Questions raised to DEP

PENNSYLVANIA -- A new order signed by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett will pressure state employees to approve environmental permits faster. This new order includes Marcellus Shale gas wells and projects that involve sensitive wetlands or ecosystems.

Critics say the new plan will put public health and safety at risk.

A spokesperson for the DEP says the new order will not sacrifice environmental protection and that the agency will publish details of the policy later this month.
