Two hospitalized after Auburn stabbing

AUBURN, N.Y. -- Auburn Police are investigating a stabbing and fight that sent two men to the hospital.

Officers responded to a fight involving five or six people at Big Kahuna's bar on Columbus Street around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday. They say a 24-year-old man was punched and was knocked unconscious by a 40-year-old male. The 24-year-old then stabbed the other man after waking up to see his girlfriend and the man fighting.

Police say other people from the bar then came outside and assaulted the 24-year-old.

Both men were taken to Syracuse hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. The names of the men involved are not being released at this time.

Auburn Police are asking anyone with information about the fight and stabbing to call them at (315) 253-3231 or email them through their website. All tips can remain anonymous.
