Fans had to wait an extra month for professional golf to come to town this year, but the Champions Tour has returned to town once again. YNN's Chris Whalen reminds fans what to expect when they hit the course.

ENDICOTT, N.Y. -- It's that time of year again. The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is in town and if you plan on coming down to En-Joie Golf Course, the first thing to keep in mind is give yourself ample time to get there. There could be lots of traffic coming east and west on Main Street, so you want to make sure you plan ahead.

When you do finally get in to Endicott, make sure you find a good parking spot, then look for a shuttle sign. That will get you on the bus and bring you right to the course where you need to be.

"Come out, have a good time, bring a chair, if you think there might be a cloud or two, bring an umbrella. They can't bring cameras or video equipment, they can have their cell phones, but we ask that they please be put on vibrate," said tournament director John Karedes.

When you get to the course, make sure you don't bring any coolers with any of your own food or drink and that's because there's plenty of good stuff to eat and drink at the Open.

"Our concessions all ultimately benefit charity and that's why we ask no outside food come in. There's great food here, we've got spiedies, our local delicacy, there's cheese steaks, great hot dogs, lots of cold refreshments," Karedes said.

Of course, some of the biggest names in the history of golf are at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open this weekend and that probably means you'll want to get an autograph or two. The best place to do that is near the club house, just off the 18th green, there's a good chance you can get them to sign something there.

"Most guys stop, they sign autographs, hats, flags, whatever and Champions Tour guys are great, they get it, they understand it and they're here to work with the fans," Karedes said.

The course is big, so where should you go to get the best view?

"If you're looking for a unique place to sit, look at some great holes, you can sit right behind the fifth green. When you're sitting up on top of that mound, you can see action, really, from a panoramic view," Karedes said.

So once you've arrived, gotten something to eat, got your spot on the course to take in all the action, the only thing left to do is sit back and enjoy the weekend.
