Three arrested on drug charges
NEW YORK STATE -- Two North Country residents and a Syracuse man have been arrested in connection with a marijuana distribution organization.
Federal investigators say Luman Paro, 51, of Syracuse, and Amos Conners and Melissa Brown, both of Hogansburg, have been indicted by a federal grand jury with conspiring to possess with the intent distribute over 100 kilograms of marijuana.
If convicted, the three face anywhere from five to 40 years in prison and up to a $5 million fine.
The investigation into the ring involved more than a dozen local, state and federal agencies.
