JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- If you’re a racing boat fan, you might want to head to Clayton this weekend.

For the 20th year, the Antique Boat Museum is hosting the Raceboat Regatta. It's the largest gathering of vintage race boats anywhere in the country.

There will be wooden hulled boats from the early 1900s up to modern hydro-plane boats. Most of them are from the museum collection, but boat owners are also bringing theirs from across the Northeast.

Organizers say they are all special.

“Most of these boats have got a pedigree, they’ve won races, they’ve won championships, we have record holders, world record holders, so the pedigree and the history that goes along with seeing and touching and experiencing the raceboats,” said Marv Hart, race organizer co-chair.

On hand for the race will be powerboat speed record holder Ken Warby who’s 1978 record of 317 mph still stands today.
