FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- While the week has been a mixture of fun and hard work for a lot of these players, it's also an emotional trip for some as well.

Syracuse offensive lineman Justin Pugh has a step-brother who's been serving in the U.S. Air Force for the past11 years. Pugh, who's currently rehabbing a shoulder injury, says he doesn't get a lot of time to spend with his step-brother, Michael Cavaghan, but understands that's the sacrifice required when you join the military. He says even though Fort Drum is an Army post, just being here with the men and women who are fighting for the country is very near and dear to his heart.

"He's never really got to see me play football, organized football or at a major level like Syracuse. So it definitely has a place in my heart because I really don't know what he goes through and he doesn't really know what I go through," Pugh said.

Pugh says his step-brother is being moved to an Army post in Seattle soon, but he thinks his brother should be able to get to Syracuse beforehand and get to see him play sometime this year.
