SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Things are heating up in downtown Syracuse for the eighth annual Hottest Chick-N-Wing Festival.

Of course the focus is on the food, but there is also live music, motorcycles and even a Miss Wing Fest Pageant.

This year, the festival moved from the Inner Harbor to Clinton Square, but some 20,000 people are still expected to attend.

"We had some mixed reviews, but for the most part, people have been enjoying the show downtown. You know, it's very common to have festivals down here, so it wasn't a big transition for people," said event promoter Marcus Osmun.

"The Inner Harbor, everything is on top of one another. At least down here, its spread out and down there, I hate working on grass and everything, so I like being on the concrete. It’s a lot nicer," vendor John Dixon said.

Festivities will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is free. Samples cost a dollar.
