ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Music filled the air around Elmira this weekend as the seventh Annual Twin Tiers Michelob Jazz Festival drew a big crowd.

There was quite the turnout at the free event that brought a lot of fun for jazz fans at Wisner Park. Many said they had fun dancing in the streets and simply enjoying the weather.

Organizers say the event helps to bring people together and showcase all of what Downtown Elmira has to offer.

"It shows that Elmira is still here. Our goal is to get the community involved in what goes on in Downtown Elmira.,” said Jennifer Herrick, Elmira Downtown Development Executive Director. “It's important to know that the heart of our city is still here and we're still vibrant and we're working to make it a better community."

This year’s festival featured local bands as well as Aurora Nealand and The Royal Roses from New Orleans.
