Bath police make two arrests
BATH, N.Y. -- Village of Bath police arrested two men over the weekend.
Police said Reginald Applewhite, 55, approached officers on Saturday, threatened them with a club, and refused to cooperate. Chemical agents were deployed and a physical altercation ensued before police took him into custody. Applewhite is charge with criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and menacing.
Bath police also arrested Roy Hyer, 35, over the weekend for breaking several windows at a Campbell Street residence. He is charged with criminal mischief.
Both men are being held at the Steuben County Jail without bail and will appear in Bath Village Court this week.
