BREWERTON, N.Y. -- Crews continue to investigate an apartment fire in Brewerton. It happened just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bayshore North Apartments off of Chalkstone Course.

When fire crews first arrived, flames and heavy smoke were pouring from the building. Initially, there were reports of people trapped inside the burning building. But a search of the building after the fire was out showed that everyone made it out safely.

The fire started in apartment A, and Investigators believe an electrical appliance in the kitchen may be to blame, but the investigation is ongoing.
