Conjoined twins from NY to be separated
PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Conjoined twins from Jefferson County will live their lives as two people after surgery today. Eight-month-olds Allison and Amelia Tucker of Adams will undergo surgery at a Philadelphia hospital to become separated.
The twins are joined at the lower chest and abdomen, and share a chest wall, diaphragm and liver.
The lead surgeon says after surgery, recovery and therapy, the girls will live normal and healthy lives.
