Mayor Bloomberg enacts gas rationing effort as supply chain struggles
As New York City continues to recover from both Sandy's damage and a follow-up Nor'easter, Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday signed an executive order to enact odd/even gas rationing measures across the five boroughs. YNN's Bobby Cuza reports.

NEW YORK CITY -- New York City police are at gas stations today to enforce a new gas rationing system put in place days after Sandy.
Rationing in the city does not apply to taxis, busses, commercial or emergency vehicles, or those with handheld gas cans. However, it does apply to out of state drivers.
Those with license plates ending in an odd number or letter can only get gas on odd dates, while those with license plates ending in an even number can only fill up on even dates.
While some New Yorkers are skeptical, Mayor Bloomberg says this is the most efficient way to handle the issue.
No word on how long the gas rationing will last.
