Suspect in two robberies arrested

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Police arrested a man who they say held up two stores in 30 minutes. Sunday night, Ithaca Police responded to a report of an attempted robbery at the Byrne Dairy on North Meadow Street. The suspect reportedly had a knife but left without taking any money.
Fifteen minutes later, the Citgo Gas station on North Fulton Street was robbed by a suspect who again displayed a knife.
Following an investigation, Ithaca Police arrested Troy Kastenhuber at his home on West Village Place. He is charged with attempted robbery and robbery in the first degree. He is in Tompkins County Jail with no bail.
