ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Hornell football team extended its winning streak to 51 games and Maine-Endwell stretched its own to 25 in the state semifinals on Saturday, earning return trips to the Carrier Dome for the championship round next weekend.
Hornell, ranked No. 1 in Class C, held off No. 3 and also-unbeaten Chenango Forks 20-7 and will go for its fourth-straight perfect season Saturday against Hoosick Falls starting at noon. Maine-Endwell, No. 1 in Class B, routed No. 2 Alden 49-14 and will try for its second-straight perfect year Saturday against Glens Falls starting at 3 p.m.
