NORTH CAROLINA -- Officials in North Carolina have identified the body found inside a car as belonging to a Central New Yorker who's been missing since October. Police say it was Elizabeth Stonger who was found in the car.

Her car was found earlier this month in a ravine in McDowell County. Stonger went to Cicero-North Syracuse High School. She moved to Lowell, North Carolina and was last seen alive at the Belmont Wal-Mart on October 14th.

An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.
