JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Route 126 in the Jefferson County town of Champion is now back open. It had been shut down for about three hours because of this house fire.
Crews were called to home just before 10 a.m. There are no reports anyone was hurt in the fire, but it's believed an animal was inside. There was heavy damage near the home's chimney.
Investigators are now looking into what sparked the fire.
