JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman was killed in a crash in Antwerp Friday afternoon.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies say Tammy Hand, 52, who lived in town, hit a utility truck on Route 11 after she apparently didn't see that it had stopped to make a left hand turn.

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 11 and County Route 30.

Authorities kept the road closed between the villages of Philadelphia and Antwerp for several hours.
