ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A great donation for the Rescue Mission in Syracuse. Ralph Rotella reconditioned and repaired around 2,000 shoes for the charity.

Some of the shoes will be given away, others will be sold at the thrift store.

It’s an important time for people in need to pick up new shoes. With winter right around the corner, it’s essential to help people stay warm.

"Our items are sold at a very reasonable price where families and individuals can obtain shoes, get ready for the winter weather. We're not able to keep enough shoes in stock, so what Ralph is doing is really going to help," said Liz Poda of the Rescue Mission.

This is the third year Rotella has delivered shoes to the Rescue Mission. Shoes were picked up from his east Washington Street store and brought to the Rescue Mission warehouse in Liverpool.
