ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- More accidents along Interstate 481. No one seriously hurt, but one car got banged up.
Experts have some advice for people on the roads in the snow. Troopers say if you get involved in an accident because of bad weather, keep calm. Pull over to the side of the road, put your four ways on and stay in your car until help arrives.
Drivers we spoke with say they used caution to make it through this weekend's snowfall.
"Drive slowly, that's pretty much it. Took us quite a while to get up here and it'll take us quite a while to get to Ithaca now. The plows seem to be out now and I stay vigilant. People seem to be driving pretty reasonably, so all in all, it should be all right," New York City resident James Sanders said.
Police also remind drivers to take steps like brushing all the snow off car windows and checking your lights and windshield wipers to prevent trouble on the road.
