Teacher arrested after allegedly providing alcohol to minors

WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A Watertown High School teacher has reportedly been arrested for providing alcohol to minors.

Kate Harrienger, 44, was arrested by State Police following an investigation into a New Year's Eve Party at her home. She was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and criminal nuisance, both misdemeanors.

The Watertown City School District would not confirm that Harrienger teaches in the district, however, she is listed on the school's staff directory and the district has acknowledged an ongoing investigation into one of its staff members.

Harrienger has been issued an appearance ticket and is due back in court next week.
