OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. – A young man is killed in a single-car accident in Oswego County.

It happened on County Route 176 near Black Creek Road in the Town of Scriba around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan Davies, 21, was driving northbound when his pickup truck went off the road, striking a utility pole and several trees. The pick-up then went airborne and hit a vacant building.

Davies was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash, but they continue to look into other details.
