SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Professional indoor lacrosse is returning to the War Memorial in Syracuse. The Syracuse Stingers used to play at the Oncenter back in the 70s, and they're coming back at the end of the month.

The team announced it will play the New York City All Star Lacrosse Team in an exhibition game at the War Memorial on February 21st.

The Stingers are made up of former world champions, national and college players, and most are even from the Syracuse area. Although the team is only back for one game for now, it’s working to find a league they can join to keep the games going for good.

"Box lacrosse does have that reputation of being more of a hockey-style, rough, let's go fight kind of a brutal game. And I think over the past 15 years with better athletes picking up the sport and picking up the game, it's really turned into much more of an elegant game," said Neal Powless, Syracuse Stingers General Manager.

Powless says the really want to make the game family friendly with lots of scoring, lights, music and fun for all.

Tickets available are available at the Oncenter Box Office and www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets cost $11 for adults and $5.50 for kids. Group pricing is available
