ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The bridge that has been the center of a controversy is undergoing repairs.

According to town officials, the 40 foot wood deck bridge in Emeryville needs to be fixed. While no one currently claims ownership of the bridge, the Town of Fowler has agreed to pay for the repairs while the St. Lawrence County Highway Department completes the work.

The bridge will be closed for the next two weeks.

The county is currently in the middle of a lawsuit to try and assign the ownership of the bridge to the Hampshire Paper Company.
