WATERTOWN, N.Y.--Former Syracuse Lacrosse stars Jason Coffman and Mike Powell led the tryouts. Running drills with players and teaching them more about the sport. Organizers say the turnout was great and they are happy to be a part of the program.
"We are trying to provide the best instruction for kids and lacrosse has been a huge part of our lives so this is an opportunity to come back to an area where we grew up in and we really care about and like I said we can relate to what these kids are dealing with on a daily basis," said Mike Powell, Former Syracuse Lacrosse Player.
The select teams will get seven weeks of instruction.
Athletes will also travel and compete in four tournaments.
