PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- A mid-afternoon shower rolled through suburban Rochester on Saturday, but that didn't stop the Bills from practicing, or their fans from showing up to St. John Fisher College.
Just prior to the team's 3 p.m. practice session, the skies cleared and gave way to bright sunshine as the Bills began workouts on the synthetic turf at Growney Stadium. Despite the weather, a good crowd watched from the stands.
Saturday was the Bills first practice in training camp with the players wearing shoulder pads. They did a some light hitting during individual drills.
The first two days of camp the Bills wore only helmets as part of the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
