TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered flags on all state buildings to be flown at half staff in honor of a fallen Marine from Ithaca on Tuesday. Corporal Christopher Bordoni, 21, died April 3rd. He was injured in the line of duty back on January 18th in Afghanistan.
Bordoni joined the Marines after graduating from Ithaca High School, and was deployed twice to Afghanistan.
His funeral will be next Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. The service will be followed by a burial at Calvary Cemetery with full Marine honors, and the service is open to the public.
