CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Auburn woman is accused of trying to smother two young children.
Police were called to a home on Nelson Street just after midnight Saturday. They found two victims there, a two and a three-year-old girl, along with their biological father and the suspect.
According to investigators, Nicole Fallat, 31, tried to smother both of the girls with a pillow.
They were treated and released from Auburn Community Hospital.
Fallat is charged with first-degree attempted assault, along with criminal possession of a weapon from a previous conviction. Police said more charges are possible and are asking anyone with information to call investigators at (315) 258-9880.
